Joint Care – Medistrength – Liquid Turmeric Extract with Curcumin7Advanced

OVERVIEW

VetActiv8 Joint Care MediStrength uses a potent-pure turmeric extract (Curcuma), taken directly from the turmeric plant (Curcuma longa) matrix to harness the powerful phyto actives without the need of chemical manipulation. The extraction encompasses the plant’s cellular structure, fully capturing the plant’s nutrients and benefits. This process allows 7 types of curcuminoids to be extracted from the plant, to provide the full spectrum of its benefits.  In traditional medicine, turmeric has been applied to treat skin/hair, allergies, to enhance the immune system, and to help wound healing. Modern day research further revealed a number of other pharmacological activities of turmeric such as anti-microbial, antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory.

The potent formula is designed for dogs and cats with sever arthritic symptoms, tumours, and chronic inflammation. Studies have shown that curcumin is so effective as an anti-inflammatory that it can outperform ibuprofen.

The liquid formula can be administered using an oral syringe, squirting the liquid between the dog's cheek and gums, allowing for transmucosal absorption, directly into the blood stream. This by passes the digestive track, ensuring its full potency is received into the body. For dogs with server pain and discomfort, this product can be used in conjunction with VetActiv8 Joint Health. For cats put the recommended dossage on top of the food.

Curcuminoids represent the family members of the major active group of components found in the extracts of turmeric. The 7 major constitutes of curcuminoids found in VetActiv8 Turmeric Liquid Extract include dehydroturmerone derivative, cyclo bis-demethoxycurcumin, cyclocurcumin, hydroxydihydrocurcumin derivative, bis-demethoxycurcumin, demethoxycurcumin and curcumin, which have been extracted and isolated from the roots of turmeric.

There are many studies conducted on curcumin (Curcumin I), demethoxycurcumin (Curcumin II), bisdemethoxycurcumin (Curcumin III), and lately found cyclocurcumin. It is found that these curcuminoids are essential for synergistic effects, ensuring that each active is effectively utilised, with increased bioavailability.

Dehydro-turmerone Derivative, is a type of Turmerones found in turmeric. It significantly helps improve the absorption rate of the other Curcuminoids into the body’s cells.   Studies have shown that this Turmerones does not have anti-inflammatory properties but is essential to enable curcuminoids to be more bio-available to cells in the body.

On the other hand, Bis-demethoxycurcumin, demethoxycurcumin and curcumin have been tested to possess anti-inflammatory properties and also exert cytotoxic effects in human cancer cells via induction of apoptosis, eliminating potentially cancerous and virus-infected cells, and maintains balance in the body.

Cyclo Bis-dermethoxycurcumin – Bisdemethoxycurcumin(Curcumin III; Didemethoxycurcumin) has also been proven to assist with anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer activities. The results showed that demethoxycurcumin significantly suppressed the NO production induced by LPS in N9 microglial cells through inhibiting the protein and mRNA expression of inducible NO synthase (iNOS).

Cyclocurcumin significantly inhibited contraction of vascular smooth muscle.  It has been demonstrated that it is highly bioavailable and may have a therapeutic potential as an effective anti-vasoconstrictive natural product.

Studies on Curcumin and Curcuminoids. XXXIX. Photophysical Properties of Bisdemethoxycurcumin

J Fluoresc (2011) 21:627–635

BisDMC undergoes slower or faster deactivation from the singlet state compared to CURC depending on the environment. The photodecomposition seems to be slightly more extensive than what is reported for CURC under the same conditions. Consequently, modification of the CURC molecule by removal of the methoxy substituents does not necessarily improve photostability or photosensitizing potential of the sensitizer. This is consistent with our latest results on the antibacterial phototoxic effect of bisDMC

TESTIMONIALS

CODY, 12 YEARS OLD, NSW

Cody was getting stiff joints and over time he needed to get injections for his arthritis as it got to a point where he would hop on 3 legs as he couldn't walk on one of them. We thought we would give VetActiv8 Joint Health a try as we wanted a more natural approach if there was one available.

He has been on it for about 2 months, and we have seen such an improvement as he now enjoys his walks and no longer struggled going up steps.
